Maurissa loves film, television and other forms of pop culture. Maurissa has grauated from law school. Maurissa prefers short stories to novels and enjoys cooking for others. She also loves costuming almost as much as actually roleplaying, and she believes in magic. Maurissa will play just about any card or boardgame (except Samurai Swords). And she has been known to take delight in a good love song.

Maurissa did not start gaming until college. She also went to a predominantly female college and therefore had a predominantly female gaming group to start. Though this is probably unrelated, she had not heard the term "twink" until at least 4 years after she started gaming, and she did not hear the term "min/max" until about 6 years after that.

Maurissa is very bad with names, this includes the names of the numerous characters she has played over the years.
