The year is 2040. Relations between the United States and Communist China have been steadily deteriorating into a minor cold war, though a few recent incidents have pushed the issue to the forefront of the public mind. Due to recent scientific developments, Congress has convened a special session to make some critical decisions on the future of biotechnology in the United States. The Presidential nominees for the upcoming election have just been chosen and are ready to announce themselves to the general public.
Tonight you are attending a Gala held in the White House that boasts such distinguished guests as the CEO of BioTech Industries, the Ambassador to the US from China, and even the President of the United States himself. Many of you have been personally invited, though some have found alternate means of entrance. Interwoven in the grand game of political plotting are shadowy organizations, hidden connections and disguised spies. Be careful who you play with.
