Seven-pointed Hybrid

Attached to you is a soft, pulsing star of flesh. Your whole self feels strengthened and energized by your new symbiote---you feel that you have become something better, and that feeling brings you peace that more than overwhelms any momentary fear that you have become something unworldly or unnatural. You notice yourself stop breathing for a moment, panic, then realize that you no longer need to breathe. Your star seems to supply the rest of you when your human part fails. The world and those in it seem faintly colored and distorted, as if you were looking at everything through a film. When you focus on someone, they seem to draw closer and into focus, sometimes startlingly so, though you quickly learn to adjust and expect it. You occasionally think you hear phantom voices far above you, and while you can’t understand them, you find their song inspiring and comforting.

Your change has slightly unbalanced you, a strange and joyful unbalancing. You feel a slight distance from the normal creatures around you, while calm, confidence, and a feeling you don’t know how to describe fill you. Your fundamental personality and motives, however, remain unchanged.

System: +1 to your Physical Pool Rating. +1 to your total when defending against “Emotional” powers. …or +3 if that power would cause fear or awe. +1 to your "Pilot" rating, if >0. Set your "G" rating to 3. Add the "N" symbol to nametag. Ability to breathe underwater. If you are killed, see a GM.

You also gain the following ability: Reaction System: While an item with the “D” quality is activate in your presence, it will fill you with nausea and directed anger, as the flesh of the Host crawls and shivers. (The simple presence of such an item produces no effect, only its use.) Additional system: If you notice someone using a power with the “X” quality, you will feel a vicious and irrational hatred towards that person forever. The Host wishes them dead, and so do you.

Finally, if you are currently Disabled (or suffering the effects of an Infirmary stay), the process of the star’s attachment returns you to full health.
