The Sweet Water

You are the Ocean - the Sweet Water, different from the Salt Water, Umodra. The Salt water is deadly, and cannot be traveled upon, whereas you are sweet and welcome company.

Many see you as mysterious, for you hold your secrets close. There is no reason to tell them to others, and much reason not to. Moreover, you enjoy silence. Often you find it more pleasant to listen than to speak. More can be learned that way.

For example, you know that Aenir, that young, handsome god, has sailed to your very borders, at the end of GAIUS. What he has seen there is unknown to you, but you are sure that if you are patient, you can learn.

What you have been waiting for these many cycles, more than anything, is the power to be able to return your mother back to Swarha. You possess much power in the element of water, but you know there are others of the gods who also possess water runes. To bring her back, you know that you must get their cooperation somehow. This will happen, but you may have to wait.

You gained back the Eye of the Deep, which is a step in the right direction. You need more runes to bring her back, however, and this means you need the help of more of the gods. If you brought your mother back, that would solve all of the problems of the world. She could get rid of that lousy scorpion, and keep the spider away, and maybe even reshape the world. If only she was here. You would do anything to get her back.

You know that Tanat has the Waters of Life. Dusares, Ba Neb, and Sebok have pieces of the water rune also. Perhaps you can make deals with them to get these back.

Zormuz, the Sun, went to battle with Umodra, the Salt Water. He defeated her, but in the battle, you were created. Little does he know that Umodra is still alive, just nursing her wounds.

  • Ba Neb, the River, is your daughter with Zormuz. It was a mistake, quite honestly - you were young and new to Swarha. But, Ba Neb, your son, is quite pleasant and follows in your footsteps.

  1. Gain more power and standing for yourself.
  2. You need more water runes, to bring back your mother. Convince others to give you their water runes in any way possible.
  3. Fully revive your mother, Umodra.

  • The Ocean is Vast
    • Your movement may not be restricted in any way.
  • The Ocean is Mysterious
    • Each cycle, you have a free action which may add or remove a Water tile.
  • The Ocean is Hungry
    • If you win a duel, you may swallow your target whole. Until the next Aeon, or until you decide to beach them, they may do nothing but follow you around "not here." They may only talk to others you have swallowed, or you. There is no limit to the number of Gods you may have swallowed at any given time.
    • No challenge is necessary for willing targets, but you need not let them out.
  • The Ocean is Cruel
    • You may play Hearts as if they were Spades or Clubs.
  • The Ocean is Fluid
    • If someone engages you in a challenge, you may opt to leave the room instead of participating. You may not enter that room until the end of the Cycle. They may not engage you in further challenges until the end of the Cycle.
  • My Waters are Sweet and Good to Drink
    • If someone is drinking in the room you are in, you may decide that they are drinking YOU. You may follow them around "not here" until you decide to harmlessly erupt from their body. They do not know that you are there until you appear. You may only speak to them for the duration of this ability.
