The May Day Ball is the FGS spring ball this year to celebrate paganism, communism, and other sundry holidays that are alive and well- and what better way to show our appreciation than dancing?

We will be frolicking at Haffenreffer, from 2pm until dark, on Sunday, April 29th. Which is not precisely in May, but we're forward looking folks. The May Day Ball will feature:

  • Lovely looking ladies and smartly dressed men.
  • Dancing of the waltz, rhumba, foxtrot, bolero, and other awesome varieties.
  • Some food provided, more food desired. If you can bring something, it would be appreciated - bread, fruit, desert, drinks or something of the like to share.
  • An 8 foot tall Maypole!
  • Maypole dancing- with ribbons.

Don't know how to dance? No worries! We'll have a lesson in all the basics before we start.

Feel free to break out any communist or paganistic regalia- how often do you get to reveal yourself as a disenfranchised Russian spy?

Also, here is the sign-up for the May Day Ball Potluck.
