Welcome to EryriWiki

Greetings! This is the wiki devoted to interconnected gaming scenes. If you're here, and you have an interest in games, then you have expertise and experience we would love to have captured here. So enjoy!

We have also recently started issuing blanket Voight Kampff Tests, so you must log in before editing.

This section should eventually be moved to it's own page.

Policies

  1. Nothing should stop someone from posting.
  2. No one person owns this wiki.
  3. Unfortunately, due to vandalism, we're now requiring logins. If anyone has an issue with this, let me (WikiSysop) know, and I can open a forum for discussion.

Would-Love-To-Haves

  1. A logo. Do you have an idea? Post it!
  2. If you post to the wiki, review your work. Copying and pasting text tends to create an inordinately ugly page, usually unreadable. This makes it difficult for future users to use or amend the page, because it's unclear what you're talking about. It is arguably more important to have a relatively clean page than one which has poor spelling.
  3. Don't be afraid to become familiar with the formatting options. Not all of MediaWiki's useful how-tos and what not have been ported, but this is the most useful of them.
  4. A corollary to (4), don't be afraid to properly organize your page. Use section headers, as this makes editing easy, and if the page gets at all large, creates a table of contents for users to quickly jump to the information they want.
  5. Wikis are awesome, but not particularly useful for scheduling purposes. If someone has ideas what other software tools might be used to this end, let me, Nate, EgoWumpus, WikiSysop, know. Eryri is happy to host any such thing.
  6. Putting comments in on revisions is nice.
  7. Try not to use 'I', unless you're clear what perspective you're speaking from.
  8. Try not to use 'here' to describe a link. For instance, avoid using, "Find Procon 2007 Potluck Signup information here." Instead, leverage the wiki to link information about a specific topic to the mention of that topic. For example: "Sign up for the Procon 2007 Potluck"
