The Spider, Weaver of Webs, Source of Mysteries
[edit] Character Description
You are the Spider. You are the Cleverest of the Gods, the most manipulative, and the most vengeful.
You have been here since the Battle of Creation. You were instrumental for its success. You fought against the horrid Titans, and discovered the treachery of your brother, Halahak the Scorpion before he could act. You wove a trap, a web of adamant, and tricked him and his allies into it. Sealing it shut forever, you cast in beyond the Edge of the Universe. He will never return.
You were the first to discover mankind. Despite what anyone says, you know their true secret - they were an accident! No God or Titan created them, as far as you know. You found them, the first man and woman sealed in a globe of tears, deep in Limbo. You thought they were pretty, and brought them to GAIUS to live. The Titans hated them, as they began to multiply and spread. You convinced most of the Gods that they were useful, and thus the battle lines of Creation were drawn.
Among the Gods, you are considered a dangerous rogue. This is fine. You prefer it that way. It allows you to do what you need to do. Which, of course, is scheme wildly.
The Last few Cycles have been interesting. Head Gods, Masks debates, this Messiah. All a good time to embark on a new grand scheme!
The trouble is, you haven't figured out exactly what it is, yet.
[edit] Lineage
You were created when MAELEFAX, the Eternal Corruption, attempted to destroy the Titan of Earth, GAIUS.
[edit] Children
- Amurru, you're greatest trick, was created when you took the form of Nirmala, the "Good Goddess" (*spit*), and seduced the Lord of Dreams and stole his secrets. Sadly, Amurru is just a scoundrel who won't listen to his mother! (You need some parenting tips from Tanat, probably.)
- Nahunte, the Tree of Peace, was a creation of you and Jhaung Jho, the Cosmic Alchemist. Wow. You didn't know a Tree could become a God. But now you do.
- Kujuku Myoo, the Cricket, is your child of you and Dusares. What a long complicated affair *that was*. You're glad it's over, and Cricket is a good child.
[edit] Guides
You can guide the Dharmai, Nokomi, and Anaya Cultures. Obviously, your keep your involvement with the Anaya very very secret.
[edit] Goals
- Make sure whoever becomes the Head God is a your puppet!
- Stop any of the Gods from freeing Halahak, the Scorpion, your Dread Brother and Traitor to Creation.
- Keep your Awful Sister, Death, in check. You hid the Rune of True Death from her, but you've forgotten where you put it! You founded a conspiracy of Gods that are aligned against her.
- Manipulate the Gods, as it brings you great great pleasure.
- Figure out what's going on with this Messiah scam, and get in on the action! What a great scheme!
