Ellen Kushner is an excellent performer. She held a huge audience at WorldCon spellbound with a performance that combined reading sections of her novel Thomas the Rhymer with performing songs mentioned in, or relevant to, the text she read.

Steph and I met her online in high school, when we used to hang out in AOL's "Red Dragon Inn" roleplaying rooms. We were really hoping that she'd come roleplay with us, but she didn't. Alas! -Rachel
